About Michaela Mckissack, MD,PhD
Biography
Dr. Mckissack-Huynh grew up in Houston, moved to College Station to study Biochemistry and Genetics at Texas A&M University, then completed an MD/PhD program at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Her PhD work focused on genetic, epigenetic and proteomic changes in the uterine landscape that promote development of type I endometrial cancer and leiomyomas. She then moved to El Paso to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at the Las Palmas Del Sol Internal Medicine program. D
