Recently, Las Palmas Del Sol recognized four community leaders as the newest members of its board of trustees: Scott Adkins, Janet Aguilar, Allan M. Goldfarb and David W. Osborn.
A fifth-generation El Pasoan, Adkins serves as chief executive officer of Currey Adkins and vice president of operations for PyroComo Systems, a security company recently acquired by family ownership. Adkins earned a swimming scholarship to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Since moving back to El Paso in 2004, Adkins has served as a board member and board president of the Keystone Heritage Park, El Paso Club, the El Paso Leadership Academy and Progress 321.
Aguilar, vice president of sales at USI Insurance Services, has been in the insurance industry since 1970. During her career, Aguilar has received multiple professional accreditations and awards for her service in the industry and the community, including the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce Woman of Distinction and the Hispanos Triunfadores. A graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso, she currently serves as a board member and is a past board chair of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of El Paso County.
Another native El Pasoan, Goldfarb is a partner and chairman of Kemp Smith Law’s business department. A graduate of The University of Texas School of Law, Goldfarb is board-certified in estate planning and probate law and has received numerous awards and recognition from his industry, including inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers by Thomson Reuters and The Best Lawyers in America.
Osborn has served as president and chief operating officer of WestStar Bank since January 2016. Prior to joining WestStar Bank in 2000, Osborn worked for two other banking institutions in El Paso. He is a graduate of McMurry University in Abilene and the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he received the Recognition of Leadership honor.
