EL PASO, TX—Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare today announced plans to open its second freestanding emergency center in El Paso. The Las Palmas Del Sol Emergency Center in west El Paso will serve as an extension of Las Palmas Medical Center and will be located at the corner of Helen of Troy Dr and N. Resler Dr. It will open to the public in late-summer 2016.
Earlier this year, Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare opened a freestanding emergency center in east El Paso, which serves as an extension of Del Sol Medical Center.
“Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare is dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients in El Paso, and we are pleased to now have two convenient locations for patients with medical emergencies on both sides of our city,” Don Karl, interim chief executive officer of Las Palmas Medical Center, said. “Las Palmas Del Sol Emergency Center in west El Paso will provide the same level of care and expertise in a location that’s more convenient for many in our community.”
Las Palmas Del Sol Emergency Center in west El Paso will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as a full-service, freestanding emergency department, staffed by board-certified physicians and nurses who are trained in emergency care. It will feature seven treatment beds; a CT scanner; advanced testing capabilities, including radiological testing; and a medical lab. Patients requiring inpatient care will be transported from the facility to area hospitals.
