To celebrate the season of giving, Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare is spreading holiday cheer to its patients and supporting local families in need.

Earlier this month, Del Sol Medical Center hosted its annual tree lighting for hospital patients, visitors and staff. Representatives from United Way of El Paso County participated in the tree lighting ceremony, along with KFOX meteorologist Ashley Claster. Del Sol Medical Center presented a check for $41,505 to the local United Way chapter, with the funds representing donations to United Way from hospital employees.

At Las Palmas Medical Center, Santa Claus and one of his elves made a special stop to visit with infants and families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

During this special event, Las Palmas Medical Center staff members volunteered their time to brighten the spirits of the children and families who are spending time away from home during the holidays.

From everyone at Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare, we wish you the happiest of holidays and a healthy New Year!
