Del Sol Medical Center Names Doctor of the Year

Each year, Del Sol Medical Center recognizes a physician who upholds the mission and values of Del Sol Medical Center and is respected by hospital personnel, patients and patients’ families.

De Sol Medical Center is pleased to name Bhaskar Rao, M.D., as its 2015 Doctor of the Year.

The people who nominated Dr. Rao for this prestigious title say he is readily available to his patients. He is known for his caring attitude, attention to detail and mentoring skills.

Dr. Rao has served as a hospitalist at Del Sol Medical Center since July 2014.

Previously, Dr. Rao served as a hospitalist for Owensboro Health in Kentucky; Bayshore Medical Center in Houston; and Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska. He earned his medical degree from the JSS Medical College and Hospital in Mysore, India, and completed his residency in internal medical at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
